Pearls of Oman CODE: THD – 02

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel at 9 AM and take you for a fantastic journey. Start the tour by going towards Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most picturesque wadis in Oman where water flows all year round. Your journey continues to Wahiba sands, with its golden sand dunes. Do some dune bashing and watch the sun set behind the dunes.

Night at Arabian Oryx Camp

After a nice breakfast, leave the golden sand dunes behind you and stop in Ibra for a closer look at the old town of Ibra with mud houses. Visit Oman Across Ages Museum to discover the country’s rich history, culture, and economic growth through time.

Continue to Nizwa, which was once the capital of Oman, go through the traditional Souk and visit the Fort with its large circular tower.

Night at Nizwa Heritage Inn

After a nice breakfast start your journey to Bahla, a charming little town and visit the place where they make pottery as well as the old fort of Bahla. Your journey then continues to the top of Jebel Shams, to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”.

Head then towards Misfat Al Abreen, set in a beautiful landscape above terraced plantations of date palms. The ancient houses and ruined watchtower perched on the mountain complete the scene.

Return to Muscat.
